Avoiding Anger Attacks and Saving Your Marriage

Some people ask “What is the most critical issue in any relationship?” How to manage frustration and anger in a healthy way, so as to help the relationship develop!

The challenge here is to see how to handle discontent when the other party does or says something that infuriates us. Most divorces are provoked by an increasing chain of anger attacks, painful difference, mad confrontations, and unsettled disputes and finally disappoint with partner and marriage itself.

Why it is Conflicts with your spouse (or intimate other) are seen as inevitable in any marriage?

Everyone has his own image of life when people get married; their own dreams and aspirations on how they want their shared life to be. The problem is that each one is coming from a different life story, so their views and opinions about married life are different.

The succeeding test come from the sheer lack of information or guidance about civil methods to solve differences. There should be some kind of guidance in major school, so when the occasion arises, we would know that we can get a shared a way out and not an « I win, you lose » unfair ending.

The root of matrimonial anger is that we are not treated fairly by the people we select to love and care for us; therefore the need to manage or rule the other through a show of anger follows.

For the spouse with no skills to manage his or her anger to resolve conflicts, the other person will always seem like the obstacle. The more his or her frustration grows, the less limits will be there to contain anger against the wife/husband from escalating.

Why are all these things happen? People have so many past experiences to be expecting something from the marriage that could heal their childhood wounds. When they can’t receive this behavior, because the spouse is coming from a likewise deprived environment, frustration can appear at silly opportunities, leaving the other spouse totally shocked because the intensity of the anger attacks doesn’t correspond with the situation that unleashed it.

When there is uncontrolled anger attacks in a couple, love is gone and bitter resentment in the attacked spouse builds up. If this person expresses the disappointment, the mad spouse will feel criticized, but still unable to resolve the issue by apologizing. It is gonna turn out bad when anger escalates with the perceived spousal rejection, creating a push to dominate, control and silence the other spouse.

According to the American Psychological Association, some anger is a normal and healthy part of being human. But when anger affects your quality of life, check into how to better manage this emotion before it manages you.

It’s necessary to find ways to relay painful emotions. Recover from Anger will help you out with a step by step process to control your anger in no time.Visit our blog http://recoverfromanger.com/blog now for more Free articles on anger management.

How family problems can lead to depression

One of the biggest emotional problems that a lot of people experience is depression. There are many causes and also many reasons of depression.  Some of those reasons are a chemical imbalance in your body. While others are surely triggered by some other issues.  One of those issues we are going to look at is family issues.

Family issues, when they occur, are definitely very traumatic problem. This is mostly due to the fact that family is such an intimate part of our lives. So when a problem within the family occurs it really makes sense that it can actually and eventually cause problems like depression. This is one of the biggest reasons clients come see my in my depression counseling service.Because it is very essential to address any family problems the soonest possible time.

Depending on what the family issue is will usually determine the right course of action that is basically needed to address the depression. For example, counseling is a great and perfect way to try and resolve the depression if it is caused by a marital problem.  When I get families with relationship problems in my family counselor San Diego practice I always try to get them into a regular counseling session. It is within these sessions that we can really address the depression aspect of it.

Now if the problem gets worse and the fighting starts to escalate where the marriage is now in trouble, then definitely serious counseling is highly needed.  As a couples therapy San Diego practice what I try to do is try to have sessions with them. These sessions are purposefully designed to get to the root of the problem. The main goal is basically to find out what is key factor causing the issues then dealing directly with it.Simply because a lot of times the root of all the issues are not clearly understood.Well a good counseling session can surely help resolve this issue.

So, depression is, as mentioned, a very powerful emotion that can be very harmful as well. And as mentioned, in cases of family problems causing them, then absolutely there are solutions available.

Is Your Anger Getting Out Of Control?

Do you get angry sometimes? We all get angry sometimes, and that’s ok. Anger is programmed into all of us as a preconditioned response to various stressful situations. But for some anger can be a real problem, and they may be in need of some anger management techniques from a good anger management book.

Anger is a human emotion. Like many emotions it can become overpowering, and get out of control. And for some people this is the case. And if anger becomes uncontrolled it can do serious damage to so many different areas of your life

It can lead to all sorts of unusual behavior. There are so many ways that someone suffering from uncontrolled anger can manifest that. Some are obvious like shouting, but some are not so obvious. For example it can lead to behavior like short temperedness, sullenness, withdrawal into oneself, chronic grumpiness and overt aggression when dealing with other people.

And this can escalate to more serious problems like threats of violence and real violence towards others, including ones own family and children, and friends. When this occurs the anger is way beyond what is normal and must be dealt with.

These sorts of behaviors can have severe impacts on the life of the sufferer. Usually their relationships suffer or break down entirely, they can become lonely and alone and resentful, and feel like they’ve totally lost control of their lives. In serious cases life can totally spiral out of control leading to even more serious implications.

And it’s not just the emotional life that can be at risk. Serious anger problems can manifest themselves in a range of other health problems too, like digestive problems, heart problems, stroke and high blood pressure, depression, skin problems, insomnia and more. It’s pretty scary.

And a serious anger attack can be unpredictable. It is usually triggered by a stressful event, and of course there is nothing you can do about stressful events in your life. Everyone suffers frustrations and setbacks in life and you can’t prevent them to any degree. Everyone suffers from them, most get angry, but settle down and carry on with life.

But even though stressful and frustrating events can happen the problem isn’t the event, it’s your reaction to them. You can’t change the event, but you can change your reaction.

Your reaction is totally within your control. That doesn’t mean that right now, understanding this, you can suddenly control yourself. But it does offer hope that there is something you can do if you know what, and how. Some good anger management tips may well help.

There are anger management techniques that work to allow you to change your reaction. They take some time to learn and different techniques work for different people. Some people may need professional treatment or counseling but others can make use of some simple anger management tips to help control their anger.

But the good news is that your life doesn’t need to spiral down into broken relationships and loneliness. You need to recognize the problem and take the decision to do something about it, and learn some techniques. Then get started get your life back together.

Sports and anger

One of the things most people enjoy doing is sports. It is absolutely one of the funnest things to do especially with family and friends.  It is also fun if you do it competitively.Whether it is professional or amateur it is actually something that people deeply enjoy much. But sometimes, that some spirit of competitiveness can go way overboard. Sometimes that spirit of competitiveness can actually lead to anger. In this article we are going to closely look at and discuss anger within sports and how it hurts or helps.

There are really some sports now that are seemingly violent just like football or boxing. But is there really a place for anger within those sports.  Some people say there is, but what I have found from my sports psychologist San Diego practice is that anger is really a detriment.Even in a seemingly violent sports, you can’t really think with brilliance when a person gets angry. And contrary to popular opinion most sports are a mental game and not just physical.

So my personal contention is that there is definitely no place for anger in sports. Sometimes our very competitive nature that is built within us makes us angry when we lose. But definitely, we cannot get angry when things don’t go well if we want to succeed in sports or life. That is really a recipe for failure.  And for those parents that do put their children in sports and want them to succeed I always give them advice. The advice I give them as a family counselor San Diego is to teach them how to control their anger.

But sometimes to motivate themselves, some people actually do use anger. Sometimes it works for a time.  But in reality sometimes that anger boils over into personal life as they begin to lose the ability to control it.  That is when I end up seeing a lot of patients in my anger management counseling services.

So in reality we all get mad at times in our lives. But in order for us to truly be successful in anything in life just like sports, we have to really know how to control it.

Why some athletes succeed and others do not

We are a culture that enjoys sports and the athletes that participate in them.We are envy of how physically gifted they are and amazed at their skills. But what we do not know is that it takes more than physical gifts for these athletes to be successful. There is one quality out there which can make an athlete gain an advantage over other athletes. This quality is their mental toughness. If you have what you call mental toughness then you can be a successful athlete while other physically gifted athletes who do not have this can not be as successful.

Sports psychology is the one field which can help you be mentally tough in sports. And it isn’t just limited to the professional athletes. With the kind of world that we live in which is super competitive even if we are still kids they would need it to be successful in sports at their early age. This is evidenced by all the families that have their kids come to my sports psychologist San Diego practice.

There can be many reasons cited as to why parents bring in their kids to undergo sports psychology. But mostly they want their kids to have success in sports to help them with colleges. But parents also realize that making their kids go through this sports psychology would also bring positive effects on other aspects of their kids lives. If they can be successful in sports and be mentally tough this can mean that they would also handle adversities in other areas of their lives. This is evidenced by the testimonials of people who have used my San Diego family counselor service.

Of course you don’t want to push your children too hard because sometimes it is too much for them. This can be the cause of a depression brought about by failure which would make them feel like they failed you.So be careful in trying to push them to the limit because this can bring negative effects instead of your aim to make them successful. I have seen that line crossed or ruined in my couples counseling San Diego counseling services.

So that is what makes athletes successful. It isn’t all about athletic ability but more about mind ability.

Events that could cause depression that need counseling

One of the most difficult emotions to deal with is dealing with depression.  It is difficult because everyone goes through depression at different times in life. But the depression we are talking about having a hard time dealing with is the serious depression.  Sometimes it is called clinical depression. If it is serious enough to need counseling, that is exactly the one that is difficult to determine.  In this article we are going to look for signs that you need depression counseling.

First of all as mentioned earlier everyone has bouts of depression from time to time. But definitely there are some sort of events or happenings that trigger a person that goes too far beyond. Sometimes, something that is extremely emotional makes it really hard for a person to eventually overcome depression. Emotional events like a death of someone so dear like a relative can actually trigger this type of depression. I see this a lot as a depression counseling.  This usually happens when a person feels like it is there fault.

Now some causes of depression are as expected, not always the same for almost everyone. Something that definitely doesn’t affect one person can really trigger another one melancholy.Sometimes though, from within the body of an individual, it can be considered as a chemical reaction.Usually, this type or kind of depression has to be dealt with using some specific drugs.  There are times that I have to prescribe some sort of medication running a family counselor San Diego practice.I hate to do just that but however, sometimes if the depression is actually not coming from some event in life that is basically the only solution.

Then there are some kind or type of depression that absolutely comes from problems or issues from within the family of course.Usually, a married couple sometimes may begin having a really hard time getting along with each other especially with their differences. This surely causes or triggers a rough time in their marriage.  I see this type of depression a lot doing couples therapy San Diego. If the couple is willing enough to try to work things out, then this type or kind of depression can actually be overcome.

As you can certainly see, depression is really a serious emotion that requires a very immediate action. Hopefully, this will be able to assist you to certainly know when a person or individual requires to seek counseling from a pro.

Controlling Anger and Saving Your Loving Relationship

How do you express your anger?

  • Your get “Hotheaded” and more intensely cursing and throwing things
  • You do not show anger in loud ways but you are chronically irritable and grumpy
  • Or constantly putting others down, criticizing everything, and making cynical comments

The choices above simply shows that you have not learned how to constructively express  anger. Beacuse of this lack of means,  isn’t likely to have many successful long term relationships, simply beacuse there is no way to vent this anger, it only accumulates.
Expressing anger in a controlled way is extremely difficult. The tendency for most is to explode and rant on.
To some extent, you can do things that will take your mind off the anger.
But is walking out of the situation a healthy way? It could be a temporary solution but it is still important that you express you anger in a proper way.
Why is it important to express anger? If your anger is not allowed as an outward expression, it can turn inward—on yourself. It can create problems like getting back at people indirectly, without telling them why. Or displaying hostile and cynical behavior. Worst-Case scenario would be : hypertension, high blood pressure, or depression.
Here are some ways on how to control your anger :

  • By expressing you can say what your needs are, and how to get them, without hurting others.
  • You can suppress your anger by converting it into a more constructive behavior or redirecting and focusing on something positive.
  • You can calm down by controlling your inward and outward behavior, let the feelings subside to avoid health related problems

Remember that anger is a completely normal, human expression of emotion. It can turn into a destructive, unhealthy situation when it gets out of control.

Give yourself the opportunity to express anger in a safe way, without hurting anyone else. Try to forgive the person who wronged you.

What are the signs that says you already need help for your depression

All of us experience depression at one point in our lives.  There are just so many things that happen in our lives it is natural to feel down at times. But there are situations when the depression can get serious. That is when those people really need a counseling.Because if the depression is not attended to then the consequences can be devastating. That is why in this article we are going to talk about the signs on how to know when to seek help for a depression.

First of all as mentioned earlier we all fall into depression at different times in our lives. Things like struggles in marriage or relationships. Or depression can be caused by losing a loved one in our lives.  The reasons for depression that I see in my depression counseling practice varies so much. But depression is a serious problem that is why it is important to know when to seek help.

You would know that someone needs help already if he/she is depressed for a long time already. If you know someone who has been depressed for several days already they may already need some counseling. Or if someone starts not functioning socially there may be a problem. As a family counselor San Diego I have seen all these symptoms. Once you see them you need to seek out help.

They can hurt themselves is the reason why you must help people you know who are depressed. But they can also hurt others that is why you really should seek help for them.If that happens the depression has already turned into anger. Sometimes a person feels so depressed and helpless they get angry.  That is when I use my anger management San Diego services to help them.Because anger is more dangerous than depression because it can hurt others already.

If left untreated depression can really be dangerous. When you see it you need to get the person treated right away.Other people and those who are depressed can be at risk.

Why some people succeed in sports while others don’t

One of the hardest things to figure out is why two equal athletes can have two different results.  In other words there are many talented athletes that compete.  Many have similar skills. But only a few get to be successful while others come up short. In this article we ar going to find out why is that so.  In other words the secret to success will be revealed.

It may be hard figure out at first but once you look and observe it for a long time it is easy to see why.Because you would see from these successful athletes that they have this proper mindset when it comes to competition.Mental toughness is the secret of these athletes or for any people who want to succeed in life. Those who are successful have had training with regards to their mental toughness.  As a family counselor San Diego practice I have a lot of parents who want their child succeed bring their kids in for this.

Success starts and ends with mental toughness.  If a person doesn’t have their minds trained properly they will fail.Sports is a highly competitive field and if you would like to succeed you have to be mentally prepared all the time.  That is why my sports psychologist San Diego practice gets so many clients.People know that this would give them the edge over their peers to be more sucessful than the others.

Most of the time physical gifts are what these athletes rely on to become successful. But once they meet others who are as gifted as they are they soon realize that it is not enough to be gifted physically only. This can lead to anger and frustration which can cause a lot more problems.  Sometimes it leads them to need my anger management San Diego services.  That is when it goes beyond just sports psychology and the anger needs to be dealt with.

So now you may already know why two equally gifted persons have different levels of success.  If they prepare their minds the right way they can experience tremendous success. But if they try to succeed on talent alone then it would be tall order.
