You Can Save Your Relationship If You Simply Follow These 5 Steps

All relationships have their faults if you look hard enough. There is a time in all relationships where things get bad and you have find ways to save it before you can’t repair it any more. There aren’t two people that don’t argue at some point, but if you are both at the point of walking away then you need to save the relationship. Ensure that your partner wants to save it too whatever the reasons for the problems are. Follow these guidelines to assist you in saving your relationship.

Save My Relationship Tip 1:

is this relationship worth putting effort in to save? Relationships are not all about love. Other factors are also how compatible you are and being honest. Has your boyfriend ever cheated on you? Are you and your partner that different that you can’t do much if anything together that makes you happy? If you were both apart do you believe that your lives would be much better? All these questions are very important in any relationship. For a relationship to succeed it actually does need more than just love alone. If you are working together to resolve the issues and problems and willing to take a risk, then make sure you do absolutely everything in your power to make things work. But, if you think that things would better if you broke up then just do it and move forward.

Save My Relationship Tip 2:

Be honest with yourself and make sure you know why the relationship broke down. Most people prefer to carry on as if nothing has happened and not face up to issues in the relationship. Face why it’s not working any more and resolve it. Are things together not interesting any more? Have you changed into someone he doesn’t love any more? Does your boyfriend get no time to spend with you any more due to his work? Realise why things failed and then work on resolving those issues.

Save My Relationship Tip 3:

A critical factor is communication. When talking about your relationship you need to make sure things aren’t heated and you are not rude. Because of the problems surrounding you I’m convinced that your emotions will be at an all time high. Don’t see each other for a bit to allow time to cool off. Once you are both in a calmer state then you can discuss the problems in your relationship. Respect one another and listen and try to understand one another’s opinions. Take each other’s views on board even if you don’t agree with them.

Save My Relationship Tip 4:

Something else you can do to save your relationship is to improve as a person. You may both have to alter yourselves as people. This is one of the major reasons why relationships break down. If two people don’t make any effort to make changes in their lives, then ultimately this will lead to conflict.

Save My Relationship Tip 5:

Family and friends are invariably those who are closest to you and they are the ones along with professionals you should seek advice from. It’s good to get a view points from someone you can rely on who is further back from the relationship. It’s also good to find anyone who has already been through this and tap into their expertise.

Make sure you work with your boyfriend in order to save the relationship. Nothing will be restored if you work alone. You must pull in the same direction. A relationship is not about individuals but is about a team. What’s the purpose of saving your relationship if you won’t work together? This will no doubt take a lot of time and effort on both your parts, but remember that it will be worth that effort in the future. Relationships have to worked on all the time for them to be a success as there is no such thing as the perfect relationship. You will feel an enormous sense of pride and satisfaction if you do manage to save the relationship and you will feel like it was all worthwhile.

Can a Couple Make Their Relationship Work?

A couple in a relationship are always both contributing to making the relationship thrive and flourish.  If done properly, it won’t even seem like work, but the most critical thing to keep in mind is that relationships grow and thrive only when both parties are involved. A relationship isn’t going to work if both partners aren’t involved in making it work.  If only one is sincere and serious about it, he or she’s going to get tired sooner or later of working on it alone, and they’ll break up.  Remember - both partners have to work in concert to make a relationship work! Even though there are going to be problems in any relationship, the strength of its foundation will help determine if it can withstand them.  Here are some tested tips for establishing such a strong foundation.

Honesty is the best policy

It’s a simple concept but sometimes difficult to live up to - in dealing with your partner, you must be honest and open about everything between you. A liar cannot be trusted to tell the truth - and how is it possible to get into an intimate relationship with someone you cannot trust? Lying to your partner gets complicated - you’ve got to keep the particulars straight in your head about what truths you’ve shared, and what lies you’ve told.  If you tell her, for instance, that you like a certain author because you know she likes him, and then she hears you tell someone else you cannot stand that author, she’s going to be hurt and frustrated that you lied. The things you tell each other reveal yourselves to each other and draw you closer together, but if some of those things are lies, they stand between you, they get in the way of coming closer together.

Relationships thrive on integrity

Integrity means satisfying your word.  Obviously, a liar has no integrity, but someone who consistently breaks promises also suffers an integrity problem that can ruin a relationship. Your integrity is reflected in your actions every day, and how those actions match your words.  Don’t think that just attending to the major commitments you make will make people think you’ve got integrity.  If you have an integrity deficiency in minor issues, sooner or later you’re going to jeopardize the relationship because she’s going to wonder if you can be trusted with something as important as her heart. Women in a relationship are anxious about trusting a man with their heart.  That nervousness goes away as they learn to trust him in other areas, based on his acting with integrity.  It’s his integrity that reassures her that her heart will be secure with him.

Communication is key

Part of the “work” of making a relationship flourish is paying attention to your partner even when you’d rather be doing something else. A relationship isn’t going to flourish if you don’t know how she spends her days, or what things interest her or make her upset.  The best way to learn these things is to pay attention when she’s talking to you.  It may seem that she always wants to have serious discussions at inappropriate times, like in the middle of the fourth quarter of the game you’re watching.  You can work these difficulties out - but make sure that you pay attention to what she’s saying when she’s talking! Communicating is a quiet activity - listen to her patiently and carefully, and if necessary comfort her.

Cool, calm and collected is always the best way to be

If your objective is to win on those (hopefully rare) occasions when you fight, rather than to settle the differences you’re experiencing, you’re going to damage your relationship. If the most essential thing for you is to win the argument no matter what, you’re sacrificing your relationship together for the short-term feeling of victory after winning an argument. A better approach is to concentrate on acknowledging and resolving the problems that caused the argument, which will make the relationship stronger and enhance your self esteem.

And here’s a bonus tip - never let her forget how stunning she is, how marvelously she treats you, and how much you love her.  You do this simply by opening your mouth and telling her so.  If you haven’t yet told her today that you adore her, go find her right now - or call her - and tell her!  Make certain she is loved always and she’ll never want to leave!

5 Ways to Make a Relationship Work Long Term

Relationships can be very complex. Simply taking two completely unique people and tossing them together all their habits is bound to create at least a little friction. Learning the secrets of making a relationship work is very important. No matter how bad things have become, there is always a way to work things out. Follow these five steps to help create a sturdy base for your relationship.

The first step is honesty. It won’t surprise many people out there to hear that stable relationships tend to center on honesty. It is critical that both people in the relationship need to be honest with each other. This clearly includes the big things like money, and infidelity, but it is also important to stay open about small things as well. Even if there is something seemingly insignificant that you are hiding, it will have an impact on your relationship. Try to think of it this way:  Every time you keep something back from your partner, that is just a little piece of yourself that you cannot bring to loving them. After awhile, these things will begin to build up to larger issues. Then before you know what happened you find the two of you completely alienated.

The second thing is integrity. This means that you follow through on your word. As was the case with honesty, integrity applies to the small things too. Each time you fail to follow through, it adds up and starts to build a sense of distrust and resentment that can over time rip the relationship apart. What you should take from this is to only promise things to your partner that you expect to follow through on. Just tell your partner honestly if you are not sure if you will have the time or ability to follow through on one of their requests.

Third, do things together with your partner that they like doing. Relationships require work and effort. There is a good chance that your partner is interested in a few hobbies that you quite honestly couldn’t care less about. When it come to making a relationship work, you absolutely need to learn how to compromise and occasionally do things with your partner that you might not enjoy as much. Your boyfriend probably knows that you’re not really interested in watching baseball or hearing him talk about his camping trip. When you go along with him willingly you are really sending an implicit message that you want him to be happy.

Fourth, focus on the positive qualities about your partner. Of course we all have our faults, but if you focus on those small imperfections, you will not only cause your partner to feel bad about himself, but you will also start to wonder if you should be in a relationship with someone who can’t even remember to wash the dishes or put the toilet seat down. Instead remember those times he said something that instantly made you feel better or comforted you when you were sad. When you are constantly reflecting on your partner’s good attributes, you are helping build a relationship that will pass the test of time.

Finally, make the effort to really listen to your partner. Don’t feel like you have to fix all of his problems. We all need to voice our feelings now and again and it is helpful to have someone there for us. Try listening to what your partner tells you when he comes home from a hard day of work and don’t try to judge what he tells you. Just listen to his experiences of life without trying to fix anything. Making a relationship work is basically just accepting your partner unconditionally just as he is.
