My Space Themed Wedding Was Groovy
A vast amount of people want to get married with the traditional things. They want the boastful lily-white dress, the astonishing church service and wonderful party afterwards. I really do not know what it is, but I seem to have always been the odd person, but when my partner proposed to me I literally did not want any of it. I basically just wanted to live out my dream and have a space themed wedding.
My story began when I was around ten years old, I really got into space and astrology and it was something that has stayed with me all my life. I just find planets and life so fascinating. Well when I turned 25 my long term partner decided to make a commitment to me, he was also a space geek, so when I announced what I wanted for the wedding, he was shocked but delighted.
The next few months saw me organising the whole event. I had to make so may phone calls and go and see so many people to get to where I wanted to be. I can tell you what, all of my efforts completely paid off. When I first stepped into the building I was blown away. All the lights were turned out and we had, what I could only describe as spotlights representing stars, there were then planets floating around the room. In front of me all I could really see was a space shuttle and that was where both me and my husband were going to say our vows.
If you are reading this you are probably questioning what I wore, well basically in everyones invitation we all had to dress up in white astronaut outfits, although they were quite hard to get hold of it was well worth it. It was a great day and thanks to the wedding photography it will be one that I always truly remember.
