As a Sydney wedding photographer for 20 years I have seen more than my fair share of Bridal expos. Following are my expo survival tips.

Weddings are sold as a dream. It’s common for people to offer support until your plans are different to theirs.

Your wedding day of joy can become a day of compromise.. For some it descends from a dream into a nightmare. You need to remember weddings are about love.

When you are able to focus on the day being your sharing a declaration of love with people you love it becomes easier. Compromise is easier. Life is not a fairy tale. It requires give and take.

Expo Plans

Don’t even start till you know what’s important to you. What are your deal breakers, what things are you willing to compromise on. What really matters about your wedding day. When you know what is really important then you can start the planning.

The first step before heading to an expo is to establish a plan. Expos can be busy events with many brides after the same information and suppliers. There will be newly engaged through to nearly married brides.

Before you set out make a list.  Why are you going? What do you want? What questions do you need to ask.
